Supporting our military and Veterans
Simply saying you support our military and veterans isn't good enough. As your Assemblyman, I'll propose a military and veterans affairs committee so the Assembly can address the tough issues facing our troops here at home.
Reducing crime rates
Too many of our friends and neighbors have fallen victim to the violent criminals running our streets. The Anchorage Assembly must act now to crack down on crime. As a member of the Assembly, I’ll work to ensure we always prosecute those who break the law, enhance the work of our law enforcement officials, and bring safety back to our streets and neighborhoods.
Anchorage doesn’t have a revenue problem, it has a spending problem. We must live within our means as a city. As your Assemblyman, I’ll focus on keeping taxes as low as possible so we can focus on boosting our economy and making Anchorage an affordable place to live and work.
Improving Road Safety
When our sidewalks are covered with snow and pedestrians are forced to walk in the street, it creates a hazard for everyone. We need to reassess the way we plow our streets and as your Assemblyman, I’ll work to do just that.
After 27 years serving in the United States Air Force, I learned a few things about leadership and being mission focused. But it doesn’t take an expert to look around and see that the Anchorage Assembly has left too many critical problems unsolved. That’s why I’m running to represent my friends and neighbors in East Anchorage as a member of the Anchorage Assembly.
My wife, Annette, and I have talked with dozens of our friends and neighbors about the need for safer streets. We shouldn’t have to worry about having our cars stolen from our driveways. We shouldn’t have to worry for the safety of our disabled friends and neighbors who can’t navigate the unplowed sidewalks of our city. And we certainly shouldn’t live under the threat of higher taxes when too many families are already struggling to make ends meet.
I’m running because I believe the municipal government of Anchorage isn’t fulfilling its purpose: to keep our streets safe and our economy growing.
I’ve spent my entire life serving others, and it would be my honor to serve and represent you and your family in the Anchorage Assembly. I’m asking for your vote and support!
